Bio

Ryan O’Donoghue’s photographic journey began when he was in his early 20’s. While backpacking across Asia, Russia, and Europe with a small point-and-shoot camera, the incredibly beautiful and diverse landscapes, architecture, people and cultures left a lasting impression on him.

It was not until a few years later while living in London where he discovered the wonderful travel photographs of a friend and colleague. Keen to further develop his own expression through photography, Ryan bought a second-hand DSLR camera and his interest in the field, both from the technical and creative aspects, quickly expanded.

From a beginning of almost exclusively shooting landscapes, Ryan’s professional photographic journey has evolved to encompass many diverse areas including portraits, weddings, and commercial photography as well photographic training, support and tuition. Ryan is an accredited member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography and has achieved several international awards in genres of landscapes and portraiture.

Stef Dunn

Bio

Stef Dunn is an internationally award-winning landscape photographer based in Brisbane. A traditionalist at heart Stef has an extensive heritage in the analogue photographic process, well before the digital revolution took hold.

Whilst being expert with digital and film cameras alike Stef chooses to use an exclusively film-based approach to his own exhibition work, capturing his images on a big old wooden 4x5 large format camera. Stef captures light in the tradition of the great landscape masters of last century. Having such a strong inclination towards traditional photography gives Stef a unique and in-depth understanding of the fundamental principals of photography. His photographic language is detail and scale, and through it he quietly challenges us to respect the natural world and our place in it.

Stef also has a background in tuition having worked for many years at the University of Queensland. He is a clear communicator whose interest goes well beyond the technical and into the philosophy of landscape photography. Stef's obvious passion for his art is infectious.

Stef is an accredited member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography and holds several international awards for his stunning Landscape imagery. He is an exhibited landscape photographer producing unique and valuable works.

Aaron Bishop Go Photo Featured Photographer

Featured Photographer - Aaron Bishop

Aaron Bishop is a self-taught Brisbane landscape photographer who has been capturing landscape and creative images since early 2011. Aaron's love of photography expanded rapidly after purchasing a DSLR camera originally to take "happy snaps" of his family.

Aaron’s photographic pursuits are spurred on by his love for travel, the beauty and fragility of the outdoor environment and also a desire to capture the beauty of his surroundings as he sees it. He has won several amateur photography awards including placing in the top 50 images of the International Loupe Awards.

Go Photo had a chat with Aaron to understand this approach to photography, who and what inspires him and his thoughts for the future.
