Sunlit Tree - Zion Narrows
The Zion Narrows is one of the world's greatest hikes. Following the Virgin River upstream the magnificent Zion Canyon narrows to as little as 10 metres in places. Massive Navajo Sandstone walls tower 300 metres above reflecting red light. Small Cottonwood Trees cling to the sandy banks among the boulders. This place is a photographic paradise.
In mid to late October the cottonwoods turn bright yellow and provide an even more staggering palette of intense colours for the photographer to explore.
Go Photo has US expedition itineraries that include visits to Zion National Park. If you are interested in being part of a guided intensive photographic workshop in this fantastic location head over to the Great South-West USA Expedition page and sign up!
