"Dolphin Rock" - Point Cartwright
Just a short 2 hour drive from Brisbane is one of our favourite sunrise-seascape shooting locations.
Point Cartwright up near Noosa is a magnificent rocky head-land jutting out into the churning waters of the Pacific Ocean. Its impassable at high-tide, when the rough surf crashes into a steep and rocky cliff, however at low-tide many broken and moss covered rocks are exposed to the swirling waters.
With the rising sun casting its magnificent colours across the sky, or with a thunder-storm blowing in from the south-west, this location is absolutely magical.
Go Photo has day-long intermediate landscape photography workshops that includes shooting sunrise at Point Cartwright. We'll explain how to stay safe in this challenging location as well as take you through some useful on-line tools and resources for planning your own shoot in this easily accessible and beautiful area.
